Intrusion

Welded tuff from Crook County inlaid with laminated window glass on a base of laminated window glass. This is my first attempt at incorporating glass into a stone sculpture.  Many mistakes were made, and lots learned. The welded tuff is a compressed and fused volcanic ash, which makes up Stein's Pillar, a remarkable 300 foot finger of rock located in Mill Creek  canyon a few miles east of Prineville.
