Black Lily
Columbia River Basalt form Biggs Junction, pivot mount on a base of welded tuff. This piece came to me with this shape, and I love the crisp edges and smooth cures that emerged as I smoothed and polished it. As I finished it, I realized that i had a piece of welded tuff with the same form that I had set aside months ago. That piece became the Red Lily as a counterpoint to this piece.
